Alright Y'all, I am working my videographer muscles! I don't love creating them, but I DO LOVE yoga, and sharing the principles and practices that have seriously been life-changing for me!
Today's short video comes from a few student requests for how to begin a Pranayama (Sanskrit for 'breath work') practice. While we all breathe automatically (THANK GOODNESS!), we don't all take COMPLETE BREATHS some or most of the time, and as a result we continue to feel RUSHED, FRAZZLED, and literally OUT OF BREATH!
This is a short and simple technique that will SLOW YOU DOWN, GROUND YOU, and allow you to be with the intensity of stressors, triggers, and challenges with PEACE, CLARITY, and CALM! Is that possible? YES, it is! When YOU take charge of your Nervous System (through deep full breaths), you literally reserve the body's stress response for what it was intended to do: save you in life-threatening situations!
